In the first half of the match, the two teams competed in a singles and doubles match, but were unable to do anything. Before the start of the second half, the match began to become more interesting, as Everton took a 1-0 lead in the 51st minute after an interception in the middle of the field. Then Jack Harrison bet the ball on Domi, and Nick Calvert-Lewin turned and shot the ball into the net. He shot with his right and sent the ball to the far post.
West Am then opened up to attack strongly, hoping to get the goal back by the 90th minute, and almost equalized when Said Benrahma scored a full goal in the penalty area and the ball was about to hit the first post, but Jordan Pickford-Card made a superior save, and went away.
The rest of the time did not witness any additional goals, so the match ended with Everton defeating West Ham 1-0.
