On Mondays Dancing with the stars, Selma Blair continued to inspire everyone as she gave an acrobatic show. In 2018, Blair revealed that she is battling MS. The disease damaged her balance, but did not weaken her desire to dance. This week she performed Jeff with a little help from her partner Sasha Farber.
“There are hurdles we have to overcome,” Farber explained. “I say, ‘Okay, you have to kick with the left foot. ‘ And she says, ‘Okay, but I can’t really feel my left leg.’ So we brought pointers in our arms, which means left and right.”
The average viewer would never know that the actress regularly uses the cane as she does leg kicks, performs a perfect wagon wheel and slips easily into splits.
Blair Bad intentions Co-star turned best friend Sarah Michelle Gellar can be seen in the audience fighting back the emotions. And when it’s time to talk to the judges, Praise from last week Affiliate of Blair.
“There’s no other way to say it but you make it look a lot easier than it has to be,” said Judge Carrie Ann Inaba. “This is an amazing achievement.”
Viewers were also impressed by Blair’s moves, with one tweeting, “Salma Blair just did a split on DWTS and I’m in awe of her strength and tenacity.”
For Blair, just being able to dance was special.
“It was amazing,” she said. “I haven’t been able to reverse in years. I used to be a gymnast when I was young…a little bit, 50 years ago! It was great to at least really start playing and have a really good time. I just love it.”
