Manchester United manager Eric Ten Hag has confirmed that Harry Maguire is an England midfielder. He is no longer eligible to take the field in the FA Cup final against Manchester City on Saturday 25 May. The latter has not yet returned to full physical fitness.
Maguire injured the muscle in training earlier this month. It was expected and he was supposed to rest for about 3 weeks, until recently Ten Hag confirmed that the giant defender will definitely miss watching the oldest football cup match in the world, as he said, “Maguire cannot play.”
As for the question: This injury will cause Maguire to miss the aid trip. England national team in Euro 2024 or not, “ETH” replied: “I don’t think so. He was unable to play this match. They did not recover as we expected.”
But for the Dutch coach there is still good news for Red Devil fans to cheer up a little. After it was revealed that Victor Lindelof, Mason Mount and Anthony Martial have returned to training. He is ready to help the team in the match at Wembley Stadium this weekend.
“I think all the players I mentioned (Lindelof, Mount and Martial) can all play. Tomorrow we will train for our last meal. He will make the final decision again. But from what I can see now it looks very good,” Ten Hag said.
