Apple Music today announced the 100 greatest albums of all time. A tribute to the greatest music album of all time. It is curated by a team of Apple Music experts with a selection of artists including Maren Morris, Pharrell Williams, J Balvin, Charli XCX, Mark Hoppus, Honey Dijon and Nia Archives, as well as songwriters, producers and industry experts. These lists are published by the editorial team. It's nothing to do with the numbers, streaming on Apple Music is a love letter to the albums that have shaped and enjoyed the world of music fans.
Apple Music is making the celebration of the 100 Greatest Albums even more colorful as the countdown begins today. All 10 albums will be revealed over the next 10 days, along with a new Top 100 mini-site and exclusive new content. Exclusive episodes of Apple Music Radio and more, and the final day's countdown ends with the reveal of the top 10 Apple Music albums of all time during a special radio broadcast.

The top 10 albums revealed today showcase Apple Music's unique approach to selecting the top 100 albums. The list highlights contemporary artists such as Tyler, The Creator, Travis Scott, Burial and many others and the influence on other artists. Seven of the ten albums are from the 2000s, two from the 1990s, and only one from the 1970s, all of which represent this genre.

Fans will be able to enjoy the top 100 albums for radio on Apple Music Hits through exclusive 24-hour broadcasts from Apple Music Radio hosts and daily specials broadcast at 9:00 a.m. PT (noon ET), with exclusive content Available daily on demand on Apple Music and Apple Podcasts.
The final 10 albums will be revealed on Wednesday, May 22, with a special roundtable broadcast globally on Apple Music, where guest artists Nile Rodgers and Maggie Rogers share their thoughts on the lineup with Apple Music's Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden. Lowe will also curate special mashup-style DJ sets featuring songs from Top 100 albums.
Apple Music will keep this momentum going after the countdown ends by adding an additional week of streaming for the Top 100 albums on radio on Apple Music Hits.
All Top 100 Album Award winners will receive trophies made of polished aluminum with a unique gold PVD finish. They're all made from recycled Apple products, while the design on the back of the award is inspired by vinyl albums and features the artist name, album name and year of release.
