“Long story in a nutshell: I got fired for it,” Dunker said, adding that the company’s “main problem” was with his admission that he had asked members of the public to send him pictures he “made my way through.”

Denker demurred as to why he was fired, saying, “Every photo of me from that night is from behind the barricade like any other from a fan. I never took out my phone.”

He added, “Above all, I made sure that Taylor Swift was safe and that all the fans had a good time. As long as I was at that party, I was doing my job.”

Despite the debacle, Dunker asked his followers not to send “hate” to the company, and added that he “holds no grudge against his employer” because he “had one of the most amazing concerts ever.”

Representatives for Better Crowd Management did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In June, Denker shared how he applied for the job after speaking to the security staff who worked on Swift’s 2018 Reputation Tour at US Bank Stadium. He said he wanted to avoid paying for tickets Expensive epochs tour.

Dunker said he “wasn’t allowed to turn his back on the audience and really watch Taylor perform” which led to his unique plan to “document” his time in concert.

“After the first night, I realized how close Taylor Swift was to me,” he said in the video. “So I hand out these little pieces of paper that say I’m not allowed to take out my phone, but if Taylor Swift comes right behind me, please take a picture of me and text it to my number.”

Dunker said he didn’t pass a note to the person who posted the widely shared TikTok clip of him singing passionately, because it was actually a few rows back, but he was nonetheless “very happy to see it go viral”.
