Tom Wilson will be the match time decision for Game Two

Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson Injured early in the first game The decision will be the time of the match for the second game.

The news was relayed by Athletic player Tariq Al-Bashir, after speaking to Capitals coach Peter Laviollette during the team’s skating elective at the FLA Live Arena, Wednesday.

Wilson scored in a strong play of 3:47 in the first game to give D.C. a 1-0 lead, but he only lasted one turn in the game.

When Wilson tried to deliver a heavy blow to Mackenzie and jealous behind the net, his body crashed hard and awkwardly against the end plates. Wilson looked sluggish as he got back on the seat and went down to the locker room to be evaluated.

During the second period, Wilson was back to take a whirl around the ice during TV timeout, but he didn’t feel like himself. He could be seen talking to a coach and opted to go back to the locker room.

After the match, Laviolette said Wilson had sustained a lower body injury and was still being evaluated.

The Stanley Cup winning winger has had a career high in goals (24), assists (28), and points (52) this season. He was skating on the third line with Lars Eller and Anthony Mantha during the first match.
