The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Delayed Until Spring 2023

Nintendo has shared an update regarding The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2: postponed until 2023.

Originally slated for a release window in late 2022, series boss Eiji Onuma gave the short update (above) and apologized to fans who were expecting to play the game sometime this year. He went on to once again mention the sky-based gameplay of the sequel and assure fans that the development team has been working hard on what is still officially being called the “Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel”:

“In order to make the game experience something special, the entire development team continues to work hard on this game, so please wait a little longer.”

It’s a hit for fans who might have been hoping to play the second part famous origin – which was released alongside the Switch five years ago on March 3, 2017 – this holiday season. However, many fans will be rightly skeptical about the release date because the series has a history of delays.
