Atari 2600 gets the Lego treatment. The Danish game company’s latest model is based on a 1980 revision of the iconic console rather than its 1977 debut and consists of 2,532 meaty pieces (which seems like a missed opportunity to deliver 2,600, but I digress). It will be available August 1st for $239.99 and coincides with Atari’s 50th anniversary.
The launch of the set comes just over two years after Lego made a similar loving recreation of Nintendo’s classic NES console. But while the Lego Nintendo console included both the buildable console itself as well as the accompanying CRT TV, the Atari model is more self-contained; There is the console itself as well as a controller with a movable joystick. Fantastically, the console also opens up to reveal an ’80s living room diorama.

And yes, Lego cartridges fit a Lego console.
The set also includes three game cartridges based on classic games asteroidsAnd the conspiracyAnd the centipede, which can be slotted into the Lego console itself. Finally, three outdoor dioramas show the full-blown gaming reconstruction. The existence of the group was previously reported by LEGO German fan site bromoprex.
