The baht closed the market this evening (January 16) at 35.40 baht per dollar. It was weaker than this morning's market opening level of 35.10 baht to the dollar.

A money manager from Bank of Ayudhya said that during the day the baht moved in the range of 34.98-35.40 baht per dollar. The baht weakened in line with regional currencies and closed at 35.40 baht to the dollar. It is considered the weakest level in one month, which is a factor in the recovery in US bond yields. In the country, there are no new factors.
