Thailand's futsal team defeats Tajikistan on penalties and qualifies for the 2024 Asian Championship.

On April 26, 2024, at 6:00 pm at Hua Mak Indoor Stadium, the semi-final match of the “AFC Futsal Cup 2024” saw the Thai national team take to the field to face Tajikistan.

In this match, Miguel Rodrigo, the Spanish coach of the Thai national team, sent the first 5 players, namely: Aros Senpat, goalkeeper, Krit Aranyasanyalak, Jerawat Sonwishyan, the team captain, Panat Sum Ketivaniwong, and Subhaut Thuenklang.

In the 14th minute of the first half, Thailand scored a goal and took a 1-0 lead from the moment Narongsak Srirangbairog opened the ball to Lorasak Srirangbairog with a header.

20 minutes of counterattack and Salomov Delchoud came to score. The score was tied at 1-1 and the first half ended.

In the 24th minute of the second half, Tajikistan advanced with a goal and took the lead after connecting the ball before it ended with Kogaev Bahudur, who shot a powerful shot to raise the score to 1-2.

In the 29th minute, Thailand almost took the lead but wasted and had a counterattack before Kojayev Bahodur came out to score his second goal of the match, giving the team a 3-1 lead.

In the 30th minute, Thailand played a power play and it was Alongkorn Chanporn who smashed his first shot against the crossbar before repeating it to allow Thailand to make it 2-3.

37 minutes of Thai Futsal played The power play continued with a goal to equalize 3-3 and it was Terdsak Charoenphong who came in and there were no extra goals so the decision had to be made in extra time.

During extra time there were no goals and it had to be decided on penalty kicks and the Thai futsal team won 6-5.

This qualified Thai Futsal for the AFC Championship finals. Go ahead and meet the winner between Uzbekistan or Iran, which will compete at the Bangkok Arena on April 28, 2024 at 6:00 PM, broadcast live on TSports 7.
