Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labor revealed the progress in assisting employees of Italian-Thai companies who have outstanding wages. Recently, more than 30 million baht were gradually paid out. 6,626 employees received funds. Employers are rushing to solve the problem. We expect to be paid 100% of wages in the end.

Revealing the latest progress in assisting employees of Italian Thai Development Public Company Limited, Mr. Pipat revealed that on March 21, the Labor Inspector kindly invited company representatives to a meeting at the Workers Protection and Welfare Office, Bangkok District 5, to present the facts and discuss the problem of unpaid wages together. Company representatives expect that they will be able to pay employees as usual around April 2024. After labor inspectors across the country were ordered to inspect construction sites in the Italo-Thai group, it was found that in many projects, many provinces have gradually begun paying outstanding wages. The employees are already receiving their regular wages. There are 6,626 employees with Thai nationality and migrant workers, including employees in Rayong, Pathum Thani, Chiang Mai, Nakhon Ratchasima and the areas under the responsibility of the Bangkok Labor Protection and Welfare Bureau, District 1 and District 3, with a total of more than 30 million baht.
