A grizzly bear has died after being hit by a car
Asturian authorities note that the occupants of the vehicle were not injured. A necropsy will be conducted on the animal.

A bear was hit and killed by a car on a road in Asturias, northwest Spain, overnight Friday to Saturday, local authorities “X”, announced earlier on Twitter.
Accident in the middle of the night
“A year old bear ran at dawn on the AS-15 road, between Zarréu and Degaña. The occupants of the car were not injured,” Asturian authorities wrote on social media, posting a photo of a brown bear lying on the grass and a car with its front end completely destroyed. The accident happened around 1:30 a.m., they said, adding that a post-mortem examination of the animal would be conducted.
