Away LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker SagaAnother big release this week is Chrono Cross: Radical Dreamers Edition.
In case you didn’t already know, it’s a modified version of the 1999 PlayStation JRPG. More and more game reviews are now starting to appear online, and so we’ve put together a collection of them.
Of course, be sure to check out our review, we said it was a “fair outlet” giving it six out of ten stars.
siliconera He praised the game and gave it 10/10:
“CHRONO CROSS is an RPG that transcends time and space, unfolding across two interconnected parallel worlds. With over 40 members to meet, people and dimensions will intertwine in this epic drama about the same planet. Chrono Cross has always been a JRPG staple, and this remake of The Radical Dreamers Edition makes it seem more important.”
destructive He said it was “okay” giving him a six out of 10:
And really, that’s all you need to know: It’s a Square RPG from the PlayStation era. Can you still stand to play Final Fantasy IX And the eve parasite? Then chrono cross Worth your time, here’s a good way to play it. Is this era too old for you? Then this adapter has no chance to change your mind. No matter what you think of the game or genre, it is not a very likable or respected port, and chrono cross He deserves the best.”
RPG site Gave it 7/10:
“Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition is a great mod that’s marred by a non-optimized switch port. While you could argue they could have gone a little further in places, like offering players the ability to customize the parts of the experience they want to be. It was rendered with retro graphics.” or new, it feels great that one of my favorite JRPGs of the PS1 era got so much love.I love both games in this collection from the bottom of my heart, and I’m glad they’re more accessible than ever.Hope the Switch version will be an easier recommendation in the future, especially And that the only way to actually own it is to look on that platform.”
Our friends in push the box He got the PlayStation 4 version of 10:
Parts of Chrono Cross haven’t aged really well, but it’s still a charming and gorgeous JRPG that evokes the genre’s golden age vibes on PS1. It’s a game that deserves better than The Radical Dreamers Edition, which, at least upon launch, is a poor remaster Appallingly weak. Due to its weakness due to frame rate issues, it warrants the belief that a title from 1999 could run poorly on modern hardware. Unless you’re desperate for nostalgia, we highly recommend waiting to see if Square Enix releases a patch Optimize package on PS4 and PS5 before buying.”
Wccftech Gave it 4.5/10:
“Broken frame rates, which remain constantly fluctuating from 15-20 fps in battles, are compounded by providing players with the ability to slow down gameplay and progress quickly without having to finish the game first. Another time, another place, Chrono Cross The Radical Dreamers Edition might be more respected this second time around, but I can find little reason to recommend this particular bundle over the PlayStation 1 version based on the base game alone. “
Will you be trying this game out on the Nintendo Switch when it arrives later this week? Tell us in the comments.
