Prasert aims to make Thailand No. 1 in digital competitiveness in ASEAN.

Mr. Prasert Chandraruangthong, Minister of Digital Economy and Society (DE), revealed that the Global Competitiveness Center of the International Institute for Management Development or IMD Switzerland conducted a survey and ranked the digital competitiveness of 64 economies around the world participating in the rankings for the year 2023 according to the Global Digital Competitiveness Ranking report issued by IMD World Digital Competitiveness Ranking 2023 issued by Thailand Digital, ranked 35th in the IMD World Digital Competitiveness Ranking 2023, up 5 places from 40 in 2022.

As for the digital competitiveness rating, including progress in the other three areas surveyed and ranked, it was found that Thailand received a better rating in 2023 than in 2022, both in general and in specific areas, and the overall digital competitiveness rating is good. Moving up 5 places to 35th in 2023 from 40th in 2022.

– Knowledge: Knowledge improved 4 places, ranking 41st in 2023 after being ranked 45th in 2022.

– Technology: Technology improved 5 places, ranking 15th in 2023 from 20th in 2022.

– Future readiness, preparing for the future, improved 7 places, ranking 42nd in 2023 and 49th in 2022.
