Ozzy Osbourne took to stage on Monday at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.

The 73-year-old rocker, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019, began broadcasting while performing in front of an audience in his hometown – after undergoing a ‘life-changing’ surgery in June.

He flaunted his bold style in a long black jacket, T-shirt and jeans while showing off his vocal talents.

Ozzy wore a dark smokey eyeshadow look, while his long dark tresses fell over his shoulders.

The star looked every inch a performer on stage as the lights flashed on him.

The performance put an end to matches that saw Australia top the leaderboard, while second-placed England had their most successful match ever.

It comes after Ozzy was discharged from a Los Angeles hospital in June after undergoing what Sharon described as a “major operation” that would “define the rest of his life”.

Along with Parkinson’s disease and a bout of Covid, Ozzy has been dealing with the fallout from a brutal 2003 quad-biking accident.

He suffered injuries to his neck, which were subsequently exacerbated by the fall of 2019, which resulted in 15 screws being inserted into his back.

Talking to Entertainment tonight At Comic-Con in San Diego, he said of his health: “I love seeing people, you know. This has been the hardest thing in the past three years, because I’ve been trying to recover from surgery.

Revealing that he’s on the mend, he added, “I’m getting there. It’s a slow climb, you know?

After undergoing the procedure in June, Ozzie said: “I am now home from the hospital recovering comfortably.

“I definitely feel the love and support of all of my fans and send everyone a big thank you for their thoughts, prayers and good wishes during my recovery.”

His wife, Sharon, 69, posted a message on her Twitter account the day after the surgery to thank her fans for sending their best wishes to the singer.

I also made a point in writing: “Ozzy is fine and on the road to recovery!”
