Everything everywhere at once Writer, director, and co-producer Daniel Kwan (who is simply “The Daniels” with partner Daniel Scheinert) posted a series of messages today on Twitter.
In the series, he thought about the wild ride his filmography enjoyed in the run-up to the Academy Awards on Sunday. But he warned fans that they would be disappointed if it didn’t sweep every category in which it was nominated. He invited them to be “generous and kind” tomorrow, “especially if we don’t get prizes you might have felt we deserved.”
Kwan also indicated that he will be taking a break on social media after the Academy Awards.
