Moscow has announced that it has shot down three Ukrainian drones over the Kaluga region
Russia said on Wednesday morning that it had shot down three Ukrainian drones in the Kaluga region, southwest of Moscow, amid an increase in such attacks targeting the Russian capital. At 5 a.m. local time (10 p.m. in Switzerland), “an attempt to attack Kiev using three unmanned aerial vehicles (…) in the Kaluga region was thwarted,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a Telegram.
“All drones were detected and destroyed in time by Russian air defense systems,” the ministry said, adding that there were no casualties or damage in the attack. The devices are neutral in the “south of the region” of Kaluga, local governor Vladislav Sapsa said in a telegram.
