Media people to lose 30 kroner at Adipurush

In the first three days, ‘Adipurush’ made a great deal of money in the North Indian and Telugu markets.

However, the film’s box office performance took a hit on Monday due to controversy and outrage from some groups.

Many individuals have claimed that the Ramayana was distorted by its makers and that it lacked any devotional sentimentality.

These statements had a negative impact on the film’s continued success, as it struggled to generate positive numbers in the past two days.

According to trade analysts, the film won’t see any major benefits going forward. Whatever profits the film manages to accumulate in the coming days, it will not improve its overall standing.

People Media Factory, a film production company, acquired the rights to Nizam’s play “Adipurush”, Andhra Pradesh for a payment of ₹150 crore. Of this amount, thirty crore can be recovered.

To break even, the film needs to collect Rs 120 crore in distributor share. Currently, it has collected distributor share of Rs 73 crore.

Even if the film manages to earn ₹10 to 15 crore more, People Media Factory will still face a loss of more than ₹30 crore.

The primary impetus for acquiring the rights was People Media Factory’s association with Prabhas and their plans to collaborate on two more films with him.
