The 40-year-old was hit by bullets on Sunday afternoon in front of his workplace in poor areas north of Marseille. Police said it would be a settlement of accounts.

A man in his forties was shot dead on Sunday afternoon in front of the bakery where he worked, in a poor neighborhood in the north of Marseille, we learned from the prosecution, confirming information from “Provence”. According to a police source, the facts happened around 2 pm in front of this business where the victim suffered a dozen impacts.
“He is known to our services and the procedure actually suggests the settlement of accounts,” explained Dominique Lawrence, Marseille’s public prosecutor. However, the latter noted that it is not possible to state at this stage whether these facts are related to drug trafficking.
