At 6:00 PM on 2 March 2024 at the Khon Kaen Provincial Administrative Organization Stadium, Khon Kaen United FC “Proud King Cobra” opened its doors to welcome visiting Singchautha Tha Rui FC in the 2023/2024 Hilux Revo Thai League match 20.
Each team needs to win in order to get 3 points, as Khon Kaen United is led by club president Wattana Changlao and technical director Ekalak Thongam. He sent all the real players on the field, including Jerawat Wangthavan, Chakrit Palaphon, Ernesto, and Chitsanupong Chot, while the visiting team was led by Rangsan and Joachaichuk. The head coach organized a large group of players on the field as well, including Somporn Yuot, Thanapon Keesarat, Bodin Phala, and Waratchit Kanitsripamphin. Amidst nearly 6,000 football fans who came to watch the match.
The match started and Khon Kaen United was the first to kick the ball. The two teams attacked each other from the beginning, while Port Authority used counter-attacks and opened the match to attack strongly, but broke through the defence. United couldn't and the first half ended in a 0-0 draw.
The second half started with Port FC kicking the ball. They are ready to open the game and attack strongly in the morning, but Khon Kaen United have a difficult defensive style, which makes Port Authority unable to penetrate. Towards the end of the game, Port Authority changed players by stepping up the attacking play, sending a striker down in the hope of scoring a goal, attacking aggressively but doing nothing. The match ended in a very exciting 0-0 draw, one point each.
Khon Kaen United's next match will be away to Muang Thong United at 7:00pm on 10 March at Thunderdome Stadium.
