(CNN) Kelly Clarkson She has a story to tell and, of course, she tells it through her music.
The “American Idol” alum Post a video On her verified social media accounts on Sunday she revealed that “Chemistry” is the title of her upcoming album, and listeners can expect to hear the new album and new music from it “very soon.”
Clarkson said she was “trying to find a word that really describes the whole thing” rather than having her listeners think the album was associated with “I’m sad” or “I’m angry” feelings.
“Chemistry can be an amazing, exciting, wonderful, really fun thing, but it can also be really bad for you,” she said.
Host of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” Variety said In 2022 this album was therapeutic in recovery from her divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.
“The whole divorce happened, and I needed to write it down,” she said. “And then I didn’t know if I was going to release it, because you can be so angry in that state of mind. So some of the songs, it definitely runs the gamut of emotions; there’s everything on the album.”
Clarkson Submit a request for divorce of Blackstock in 2020 citing “irreconcilable differences,” according to court documents obtained by CNN at the time. It was a divorce Settlement In March of the year 2022. The former couple shares two children.
In a post on her Sunday, Clarkson said the album covers all aspects of a given relationship — without the Blackstock label specifically.
She said, “This album is definitely an arc to a whole relationship, and the whole relationship shouldn’t be reduced to just one thing,” adding that “there’s the good, the bad, and the ugly that goes on in it.”
Clarkson will finally release a Christmas album in 2021, after releasing the pop rock album The Meaning of Life in 2017.
