Keanu Reeves wanted to die for John Wick but settled on a close enough date – the deadline

Keanu Reeves was tired at the end of filming the action-packed movie John Wick: Chapter 4He reportedly asked franchise producer Basil Iwanyk to let the character rest in peace.

In an interview with Collider, Iwanyk discussed the film’s ending and the possibility of additional chapters.

At the end of Part 4, Wick, played by Reeves, engages in a battle royale with his enemies Cain, played by Donnie Yen, and Marquis, played by Bill Skarsgård, on the steps of the Sacre Coeur Church in Paris. In short, it looks like Wake will expire after the showdown.

But nah. Or at least maybe nah.

“After the second, third and fourth films, making these films became extremely exhausting and physically and emotionally damaging to Keanu,” Iwanyk said. In the interview. “At the end, he always says, ‘I can’t do this again,’ and we agree with him. The guy is just a shell of himself because he just goes and goes for it. He was like, ‘I want to be killed off for good at the end of this movie.’ We were like: ‘” “You know, we’ll leave a small 10% chance.”
