In Greece, “fragment movement” to free beaches

This is the unexpected story of a summer in Greece. her name? The “fragment movement”, the media calls it. Citizens who claim to have adopted the more obvious category of “Paros Citizens’ Movement for Free Beaches” or “Reclaiming the Beaches”. They are mobilizing for free access to the coast. By mid-summer, the war is taking on such proportions that the Greek authorities must react to the pressure.

The initiative started from the island of Rhodes in the Dodecanese. In June, before the fire that burned part of this huge rock in the middle of the Aegean Sea, the group “Parasol” was born. Its purpose is to “highlight the many illegal practices that exist on the island’s coast”. In order to sensitize public opinion, the network holds a press conference where it makes a complete list of these irregularities.
