HBO Subscribers took to Twitter to complain about being unable to watch the upcoming fantasy drama’s premiere due to technical issues presumably caused by an influx of viewers. According to DownDetector.com, the crash affected at least 3,000 viewers.
But an HBO spokesperson says the issue appears to be among viewers connected via Amazon devices.
“Dragon House Millions of HBO Max subscribers were watched successfully this evening,” HBO said in a statement. “We are aware of a small portion of users trying to connect via Fire TV devices that are experiencing issues and are in the process of resolving them for those affected users.”
The issue with Fire TV might be somewhat ironic because Amazon is making the next fantasy drama The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power – Show it A lot of them the Dragonbig competitor.
Similar difficulties with HBO’s connection have occurred before during the first shows in recent seasons of Game of thrones.
