The World Economic Forum (WEF) is responding to the Govt-19 epidemic. Its main event – the Davos Forum, which usually takes place in January – has been postponed to the summer of 2022. Organizers, on the other hand, are planning weekly conferences and roundtables from January 17 to 24 under the banner. Davos agenda, it almost happens.
The WEF on Thursday confirmed some big names: Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, Kishida Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda, Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, or Ursula van der Ley, President of the European Commission.

On the Swiss side, Federal Councilor in charge of the economy Guy Formelin invited trade ministers to an online meeting. Its purpose is to examine the ongoing work of the World Trade Organization, particularly in relation to Govt-19.
The starting point for conversation
“Everyone hopes that by 2022 the Govt-19 epidemic and the crisis that came with it will finally begin to disappear,” said Klaus Swap, founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum on Thursday. But there are major global challenges ahead, from climate change to the restoration of hope and social cohesion. It therefore calls on world political and economic leaders to adopt new models, to look to the long term, to renew cooperation and to act systematically. “The Davos agenda 2022 is the starting point for the dialogue needed for global cooperation in 2022,” Glass Swap stressed.
The event will mark the forum’s many initiatives, including efforts to accelerate the race for net zero emissions, ensure economic opportunity for natural-positive solutions, create cyber recession, strengthen value chain markets, and build the economy through humanitarian aid in weak markets. Invest, close the vaccine production gap and use data solutions to prepare for the next epidemic.
