BEIJING, Dec. 17, 2019 (Xinhua) – Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology It is reported that China’s solar energy sector recorded a strong performance in the period from September to October this year. The main products of this industrial chain are growing rapidly.

China produced 236,600 tons of polysilicon during this period. An increase of 90 percent year on year. The production of polysilicon sheets increased by 61 percent from the previous year to 87.95 gigawatts, while the production of crystalline silicon cells reached 83.81 gigawatts, an increase of 78.7 percent year on year.

In the first 10 months (January-October) of 2023, the total export value of solar related products reached US$42.9 billion (about 1.49 trillion baht).

China’s solar energy sector has witnessed rapid growth in recent years. As the country seeks to achieve a low-carbon transition, this has led to increased demand for and development of solar energy products. In the first ten months, China’s installed solar capacity increased to 142 million kilowatts.
