Jiuquan, March 21, 2019 (Xinhua) – China on Thursday launched a constellation of satellites into space from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the northwest of the country.

The Yunhai-2 02 satellite constellation was launched by a Long March-2D rocket at 7:27 pm (Beijing time) and entered its pre-set orbit, the report said.

These satellites will be used to detect the atmospheric environment. Space environment monitoring, disaster prevention and reduction, and scientific experiments

The satellite launch marks the 513th mission of the Long March carrier rocket family.
