Competition results:
Chelsea 1-0 Brighton

Meanwhile, the Premier League results continue to shake heads every weekend. When it comes to midweek queuing like the Carabao Cup, it has become the one trophy that ‘brings back happiness’ to Chelsea fans, and makes them smile. Last round they beat Wimbledon 2-1, and this time they beat Brighton 1-0 with a goal by Nicholas Jackson.

Robert Sanchez – 5

The 24th minute narrowly escaped conceding goals after the opening kick of the match hit the foot of Joao Pedro, who shot directly over the crossbar. Like in the 33rd minute when he gave the ball to his friend and was cut off. It’s good that Saif was able to make amends. Including the last minute save for the equaliser.

Ben Chilwell – 6

He returned to the starting lineup again in the left-back position. But it’s a game that doesn’t really shine. I don’t play football very often. – Focus on defense rather than attack. He had to be injured off the field again during stoppage time.

Levi Colville – 6

Taking on a very difficult role, apart from having to duel with Joao Pedro all the time, he also has to play the game from the back. Some of them are true, some of them are not, they are mixed together.

Axel Disasi – 7

They didn’t have to face much work when the local goal striker, Pedro, found Colville more often than not. But they can control the area well. There were important moments of extraction. Especially when Brighton attack the game and score an equaliser.

Mark Gogoria – 6

You must have a serious headache from standing right back in an uncomfortable position. Plus it was necessary to face a strong man like Kaoru Mitoma, but she was still good today. The Brighton winger is not at the top of his game including the fact that Jan Maatsen also drops back to help from time to time.

Leslie Ugochukwu – 5

It produces brightly colored fruits that can be seen at certain times. He was even very lucky with the moment he put the ball in his mouth at the end of the first half. To which the judges are still merciful, do not take the red card as a gift.

Moises Caicedo – 6

He stands a little taller than Ugochukwu, but he’s not quite as attacking. A mistake occurred and the ball was cut at a dangerous point in the 33rd minute, and it is good that Robert Sanchez saved it.

Mikaylo Modric – 5

He seems to focus on the passing game more than the drag and slide. But some of them hit the target, and some fell too far. During his time on the field, he did not create much. Still not a memorable game

Cole Palmer – 8

Good on the ball, very agile, presses defenders well when he has the ball. Creates a long-range shot that, although soft, falls into the goalkeeper’s hands. Including rushing from a dangerous distance, and missing the post in stoppage time in the first half. Before the second half, Nicholas Jackson had an assist to take the lead, which equated to the outstanding play of this game.

Jan Matzen – 7

He stands on the right wing but has a duty to help out in defence, with many moments having to drop to the lowest point to help Gogoria deal with Mitouma, making him not very prominent in the attacking game. Despite his participation in scoring goals in the match

Nicholas Jackson – 7

It was very quiet in the first half as I just ran and ran. But in the second half, they received a pass from Cole Palmer, and he shot without touching the post and put it into the goal perfectly. It can fire a second shot as well.

He was caught offside

Spare

Raheem Sterling (in place of Mikailo Modric 67) – 6

He did nothing good by replacing Modric in the last twenty minutes. When Brighton had the ball, they lost most of the time.

Enzo Fernandez (replaces Cole Palmer 75) – 6

Get down to help chase the ball in midfield. Focus on receiving to fix the score. More than the ability to create additional offensive plays.

Connor Gallagher (in place of Jan Matzen, 75) – 6

Like Enzo, who was sent to the right instead of Mattsen, but his job was just to run and help the team avoid conceding a goal in the end.

Armando Broya (replaces Nicholas Jackson 87) None

On the field, just take a few breaths and the game is over. It’s unfortunate that Mauricio Pochettino should have given him more chances.
