Bold and beautiful synopsis: Ridge walks on Brooke thinking she lied about CPS

At Forrester Mansion, Ridge told Thomas, “Brook wouldn’t do this!” Thomas reminds him that they heard the recording – there was no doubt that it was her. He wearily says the only explanation is that Brock had always hated him. Ridge denies that this is true. That’s right, Thomas argues – she’s trying to take his son away from him to cut an apple with a knife. Ridge exclaimed, “She said she didn’t make the phone call! She told me! She wouldn’t lie to me about this.” He will go and ask her about her face. Thomas summarizes that Brooke said her name on the recording and then lied to him when he asked her about it. Ridge warns him not to say a word and insists he must give her a chance to come clean. “I’ll go there and see my wife.”

At home, Brooke texts Ridge to find out when he’s coming home. Hope comes. I just spoke to Liam and asked, “What is this about Douglas and CPS?!?” Brooke confirms hoping he’s okay. Hope asks her mother to enlighten her then, as she does not understand why CPS is calling Thomas. Brooke doesn’t know why but it really worries her. Someone felt strong enough to call and complain. She thinks Hope can use this to get Douglas back where he belongs. Hope has been abused on Thomas’ behalf – she can’t imagine what it must have been like when these people show up and question your paternity. Hope insists that Thomas is keen. Brooke feels that Thomas is playing with her daughter again now that she has spent so much time around him. I hope she’s not naive – if she’s standing up for Thomas, it’s because he deserves it. As for spending time there, if her son was with Thomas, that’s where she’d be. Brooke wonders if this is really a good idea. Hope tells her she looks like Liam.

Hope gets a call from a man named Edgar she’s collaborating with and tells him that she’ll get in touch with lead designer Thomas. After the breakup, Hope urges her mother to say what she’s thinking as she “looks” at her face. Brooke ponders that listening to her now, she realizes how intertwined her life with Thomas is. He made his way into her work and home life. I hope you’re wondering if she’s suggesting that she’s not familiar with how their relationship works? “I wish you’d give me credit for a little more.” She knows the good and bad sides of Thomas, and for a long time she only saw the good side. Brooke reminds her daughter that he used Douglas in the past to manipulate her. Hope insists that’s not what he’s doing now. Thomas is finally on the right track and doesn’t deserve what happened with CPS. Brock’s phone explodes. She was hoping it was Ridge, but she wasn’t. Hope heads to the office to have a conversation with Thomas and walks out.
