‘Bill and Ted’-Famous Circle K to screen movie before closing – The Hollywood Reporter

A sweet and bitter moment is in full swing at Circle K, who is best known for his appearance in Bill and Ted’s excellent adventure.

The market in Tempe, Arizona, which was featured in the 1989 favorite comedy, will soon be permanently closed. Celebrating its place in cinema history, the store’s car park hosts two film screenings on Wednesday night.

These completely sold-out shows are organized by Harkins Theaters, which will show the film on a screen installed on the building.

Dan Harkins, owner of the Harkins Theatre, said in a statement: “We are honored to celebrate this iconic film location and thank the City of Tempe for its support of this ‘excellent’ event.” Movie-goers will be transported all the time to experience everything they love Bill and Ted In the famous circle K.”

The Arizona Republic It stated that the store will be closed on Thursday and employees will be moved to other stores.

“The rumor is not false,” Circle K’s statement was read at the time. “We plan to close our store at 1010 W. Southern Avenue in Tempe. It’s a site that has enjoyed some of the most triumphant times in over 30 years of serving the Tempe community.”
