Amazon’s latest wireless earbuds feature a simpler, near-in-ear design that translates to a much cheaper price tag. They support multi-device pairing, customizable tap controls, and offer at least five hours of battery life, but you can top it up to 20 hours with the included charging case and give it two hours of juice with a quick 15-minute charge. They don’t come with active noise cancellation or interchangeable silicone ear tips like the Echo Buds from 2021 (which are now called “Echo Buds with Active Noise Cancellation”)(Opens in a new tab)“), but it’s also $70 cheaper.

The new Echo Buds will retail for $49.99 when they debut on Wednesday, June 7, but you can lock in a pair for the introductory price of $39.99 by pre-ordering.

Update: May. 17, 2023, 2:48 PM EST This story has been updated to clarify that the recently announced Echo Buds are all-new earbuds and not a third-generation model.
