The opening match of the Premier League football season is on August 17, 2024 between Arsenal and Wolverhampton at the Emirates Stadium.
After dominating the first half, Arsenal took a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute when Kai Howards had nothing to do with a header inside the penalty area.
Then the Wolves had a chance to counter. And in the 36th minute Jorgen Larsson hit a point-blank strike, but David Raya made a superb save.
The first half ended with Arsenal Wolves leading 1-0.
In the second half, on 74 minutes, Arsenal went 2-0 up to Bugayo Saga, who pulled it in and then deflected a shot at the far post with nothing to spare.
In extra time, 90+4, Wolves almost broke the deadlock with Pablo Sarabia's volley, but Raya was still saved.
Arsenal beat Wolves 2-0 in stoppage time.
