Vientiane, November 10, 2019 (Xinhua) — Vietnam’s Green and Smart Mobility (GSM) company on Thursday (November 9) opened a pure electric taxi service in Vientiane, the capital of Laos.
According to the Laos News Agency, the service is offered under the brand name “Xanh SM” to Vientiane residents and foreign tourists visiting Laos. The electric taxi service can be easily booked through the Xanh SM Laos app from November 9 onwards.
Reports indicate that Sanh SM Lao is planning to expand its operations in Laos. It is expected to create thousands of new job opportunities for local residents.
In addition to providing high-quality, environmentally friendly transportation services that do not emit greenhouse gases, GSM also aims to stimulate broader adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) by developing an ecosystem of environmentally friendly transportation services. This includes electric car rentals. and advanced services such as rental offers, travel and customized car rentals.
