Aural Tethers presents an eclectic evening of live leftfield sonic tapestry to lead your ears astray. Featuring four very unique independent artists all working to bring forth their own brand of genre bending soundscapes. You’ll be treated with but not limited to experimental guitar, dark drone, industrial noise and ambient engulfment.

In order of appearance:

Hymns57 – a soundscape venture project using primarily guitar and a multitude of effects to create lush, blissed out sonic foray. Beginning with a single loop and building on top, each layer weaves a new dynamic to these soundscapes.

Oblique – a Peterborough local, artist Matt Holtby operates under the cover of Oblique to create dark provocative drone and electronic pieces out of glitch noise and synth sounds. Manipulating a variety of elements into a wall of deeply hypnotic midnight madness that exists somewhere between the stillness and the dancing.

Hidden Hierarchies – Jeye Daye + Ethan Moseley engage in multivariate digital alchemy, grinding together industrial sampling and sludgy noise with spoken word and soulful, seductive vocals. If you’re wandering down the emotional avenues of your steel drum hearts under the moonlight HH is your soundtrack.

Olias – Wes Grist is an exceptional name in the game of dark drone and experimental synth ambient music. With his Olias moniker he creates long brush strokes of sound that envelop and wash over you in state of quilted bliss. The patience in between each layer evokes a connection between listener and sound sculptor that is meant to last.
