Yes There Is

Re: “Is There Room for Music in Peterborough?

I started my career playing on the street, not only did it help my playing it also developed my show man ship. Granted this is not so good for full bands but it is great for your front man and as most everyone knows a well trained monkey on stage will guarantee more gigs and more money.

So think small, think creatively and get your tunes out there! You don’t need a stage with lights and mics you just need the courage to do it.

Re: “Land & Reconciliation

Both the article and the video are powerful. More of us, non-indigenous people, need to become informed and viscerally acquainted with the Anishinaabe way of seeing the world. Another piece of writing by Leanne Betasamosake Simpson that has affected (is affecting) me deeply is: Nogojiwanong (the place at the foot of the rapids — aka Peterborough). Thank you!
