I am thrilled (and terrified) to announce that, starting in January 2016, Electric City Live is expanding, mutating, and changing its name.
Electric City Magazine will be a magazine of Peterborough life and culture, updated regularly online, and, for the first time, published monthly in print, distributed across Peterborough for free!
Electric City Magazine will still be Peterborough’s best source for live, local music – but we’re also pushing outwards, with wider discussions of city’s arts and culture, as well as in-depth coverage of news, politics, and social issues. It will be a place for smart, challenging, and entertaining discussion of Peterborough and the world around us.
In this project, I’m joined by my co-editor and co-publisher, David Tough, who many know as an active member of the music community and some of you know as a journalist and political pundit. And we’re working with a frankly embarrassingly great team of local writers, photographers, and designers.
On a personal note, I’d just like to say thank you to everyone for the support and the incredible response you’ve given to Electric City Live. Over the past four years, I’ve been amazed and humbled by this city – its openness, its talent, its sometimes punishing honesty. I’m so excited to continue writing about, and working in, this ridiculous city.
I can’t wait to launch and show everyone what we’ve put together. Watch for it in 2016, online and across the city.
